Help us improve the quality of life for kids going through rehabilitation

This Christmas, we need your help to raise funds for valuable paediatric rehabilitation equipment to support the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community.

More than 100 children and their families are treated by Bendigo Health’s rehabilitation services at any one time. Two-thirds of these children have cerebral palsy – a permanent condition with no known cure.

We know that the best rehabilitation for children happens during play.

With your help, we can purchase specialised rehabilitation equipment to establish a therapy space where children can engage and interact in fun playful surroundings.
Your donation will help establish a permanent therapy space for children undergoing rehabilitation for conditions such as cerebral palsy or other major injury, illness or medical procedures which affect their function.

Support vital paediatric rehabilitation this Christmas, so that vulnerable children from our community can participate in everyday activities at home, school and in the playground.

You can help by donating.

Help children like four year old Amelia
Amelia was born with cerebral palsy following an in utero stroke prior to her birth. Now a bubbly four year old, Amelia has attended regular rehabilitation sessions her entire life. Her mother, Jennifer, sees the development of an accessible play space as the best possible outcomes for all children with conditions like Amelia’s.

Kids from across the region
Bendigo Health’s paediatric rehabilitation services support children from across the Loddon Mallee region, with 25% of patients regularly travelling from outside Greater Bendigo. As many children require rehabilitation over months or even years at a time, having therapy locally is extremely helpful for the family.

Ariah wants to play just like her twin sister
Seven 7-year old Ariah travels with her mother from Wedderburn to receive rehabilitation therapy at Bendigo Health to assist her walking and develop her arm and hand movements. Her therapy means that Ariah can enjoy physical play just like her twin sister, Angel, at home, in playgrounds and at school.
